A. I think if you ask that to any true artist they would probably say all their life. For me I´ve been doing it professionally for the past 15 years.
Q. What was the first wakeboards that you did?
A. I did Danny Harf´s first board. Well I didn´t really do all of it, i just did the painting. Then had my painting (Chinese opera face) on his series the following year.
Q. How many pro-riders have you worked with besides Scott Byerly?
A. I´ve been very lucky and privileged to work with almost all of our riders. It´s great, they all have different personalities and styles of art that they like and it´s cool because it makes me learn different style and use different medium then what I´m use to. The guys would come up with these crazy ideas sometimes and it makes me go to places that I´ve never gone before artistically. I think it makes me explore and grow as an artist and not keep to only one style.
Q. What would you say is your "style"?
A. If I was working with the riders then I have to treat them like clients and really listen to what they want and add a little bit of myself into it. So in that case the art has to look tight and to the point. But if it was for myself then I would call it pretty much "freestyle".
That is when I pretty much throw anything down that is close to hands reach and anything that lands on the artwork surface is meant to be there, there are no mistakes.
Quote.
I´m very lucky and grateful to have a job to where I can be creative and work for the best company and best riders in the industry. Working with an icon like Scott Byerly is probably one of the best thing for a person like me. He´s just the most genuine person that you can ever meet. It´s great to be part of the "family".
